Just a simple cut and paste with the kids. No flares or special instructions needed for this one. Just a cute simple Santa to hang on our windows to bring the neighborhood a little Christmas cheer!
Tested on 22 months, 28 months, and 3 years old, the project was child approved! Since the tots were too little to truly understand who Santa is, I used this project time to teach them to associate the shapes of pieces compared to the picture of the completed project. I would say things like, "We need a shape for Santa's head" while point to the head in the picture. "Which shape could we use?" Then I'd let the kids pick the shape that matched from the pre-cut set I laid out on the table. They absolutely LOVED watching their Santas come together!
I also created Color by Number Christmas Trees for older kids ages pre-k to third grade. You'll find them in the Templates and Worksheets section under the Worksheets header. They are also available in a package in our LGP Teachers Pay Teachers store!
Check it out and keep an eye out for more updates! I've got big plans for more Christmas and winter projects and more!
