A simple cut and paste Santa makes for a quick, easy project and great quality time with the kids.
I did this project with ages 3, 27 months, and 21 months and they did an AWESOME job!
Since the little ones are a little too young to understand Santa fully, I stuck to talking about shapes and parts of the whole. I pre-cut all the parts of Santa's head and had them laid out on the table in front of the kids. I would ask "What shape should we use for Santa's head?" Then they would pick the shape that matched.
Doing sorting and matching projects like this will, believe it or not, help your child begin to develop good reading skills!
